Anna Jilka

Anna is the daughter of Deb and Ben Jilka. Last year, Anna took responsibility to oversee the “Dress a Girl Around The World” project which was to make dresses out of new and gently used pillow cases. Through her efforts, 60 dresses were made for young girls and sent to the economically depressed village in Africa. Anna entered this project in the FCCLA STAR events where she received 1^st place at the district level and a gold rating at the state level.

Anna is involved in many school organizations, including FCCLA, Debate, Student Council, Freshman Class Officer, Band, Jazz Band, and FFA. She has also been very active with FCCLA where she has served on the committee for the past 3 years.

Anna is also very active in helping her community. She has helped with religion classes at St. Joseph Catholic Church at Flush and helped prepare and serve at the parish picnic along with cleaning the parish hall in preparation for the fundraiser. She has wonderful work ethics, a good student, and knows no strangers.
