48 Years of Service
On October 17, 2007, the Kaw Valley State Bank Directors and their spouses attended a celebration dinner to honor LeRoy Miller on his retirement. Miller was elected as Director in 1959 and offered his helpful perspective to four different board chairmen over the years.
Current Chairman, Ed Martin, presented Miller with a plaque honoring his long service. “LeRoy has offered continuity and common sense which have been invaluable to this bank,” Martin stated.
Ben Meek, KVSB Investment officer, read from the Board minutes from July 9, 1959, illustrating some of the changes that have occurred during Miller’s tenure.
Other attendees added positive comment about Miller’s dedication and effectiveness in working on community projects over the years.
Also present to honor Miller were his wife, Roberta; his daughter, Judy Scammon; his daughter Jan Crocker, with husband Jack; and his son, Jerry with wife Peggy. |
